This is my final entry for Mizzd-Stock's "Sands of Time" contest. Phew! I almost didn't make it. I'm fairly happy with the results, though.

I think I learned a lot through drawing this piece. It was well worth the time, methinks. The scan does nothing for it, though, unfortunately. The water doesn't look so 'blank' in the original, but no matter the tweaking, I couldn't fix it without wrecking the rest of the surroundings.

A big thanks to all the stock artists. Without your time and effort I would never have taken on this challenge, and this piece would never have come to fruition.

Since I keep -saying- I've been working on this, I figured it would be good if I provided you with proof! Ha! So here it is. The next time I post, it will be all done.

On a side note, the water has been giving me lots of trouble, but I think I'm starting to figure out how to make it work. The reference photo (listed below) is over what looks like igneous rocks, so switching this to sedimentary has posed a bit of a challenge. For a long time, it looked like the waterfall was sort of floating in front of the rocks, rather than flowing down them... hmmm.

Lookin pretty good, kid! Your new high-detailed backgrounds are looking very, very good. They really bring out your pictures.

Like, bugging-out style? You should maybe hold the page further away. Or stop jabbing yourself with the end of the pencil. I know you like it but it's very bad for you.

I think it's because the longer I sit with my head down, looking at the drawing, the more gravity kicks in. When you see me in August the eyes may be completely removable!
